Frequently Asked Questions

Questions & Answers

Who are the ceremonies for?

Our ceremonies are open to adults who feel a genuine calling to work with sacred plant medicines or to engage in healing practices. We welcome people from all backgrounds, but ask that participants approach the work with sincerity, respect, and a willingness to engage honestly with themselves.

Do I need prior experience?

No prior experience is necessary. We work with first-timers as often as with experienced practitioners. What matters is your intention and your readiness to show up fully.

How do I apply to attend a ceremony?

Use the Contact page to reach out. We have an intake process that includes a brief conversation to ensure the work is a good fit for you at this time.

Are there any medical contraindications?

Yes. Certain medications and health conditions are contraindicated with plant medicine work, particularly MAOIs and SSRIs in relation to Ayahuasca. We go through this carefully during the intake process. Please disclose all medications and health conditions honestly — this protects you.

What should I do to prepare?

Preparation is a vital part of the work. Our Preparation page outlines the general approach. Specific preparation guidelines are shared with participants after they are confirmed for a ceremony.

Where do ceremonies take place?

The venues vary; we work at established centres in Costa Rica and for private or smaller ceremonies in our own space. Occasionally, we will hold space in private homes if appropriate. Specific location details are shared with confirmed participants. We do not publish the address publicly.

How many people attend a ceremony?

We keep group sizes small — typically between four and twelve participants — to ensure each person receives proper care and attention throughout the process.
